How does scorekeeping for a match work?
How does scorekeeping for a match work in Mingle Sport?
Mingle Sport offers two ways to keep score during a match: simple scorekeeping (just the score, goal scorers, assists, and cards) and advanced scorekeeping (adds the Match Timer, substitutions, and minutes played per player).
ℹ️ Available for team members with Scorekeeping rights.
Pick simple scorekeeping when you just want to log the result and a few events quickly after the match. Pick advanced when you want to track every player's minutes, substitutions, and share the match live with followers.
How do I do simple scorekeeping?
Simple scorekeeping lets you add the score, goal scorers, assists, and cards — with or without the Match Timer, before, during, or after the match.
Open the match and go to the Overview tab.
Tap Match Control.
Swipe up and select the event you want to add (goal, card, etc.).
Select the player(s) and add the match minute.
If you don't update the score during the match, the score you added gets saved as final 150 minutes after the match start time. You can always edit it afterwards.

How do I do advanced scorekeeping?
Advanced scorekeeping uses the Match Timer so you can track minutes played per player and see live substitutions.
Step 1: confirm your match setup
The first time you use the Match Timer, you're asked to confirm your match setup — period length and break setup. You only set this up once per team (and can change it per match when needed).
Create a match and go to the Overview tab.
Tap Match Control and Start the Match Timer.
Save your match settings (minutes per period, number of periods).
Step 2: add your starting line-up
The starting line-up is needed to calculate minutes played. Add substitutes to the starting line-up as well so their minutes track accurately when they come on.
Create your line-up or reuse your most recent one.
Adjust where needed.
Confirm the starting line-up and add your substitutes.
Step 3: start the Match Timer
After confirming the line-up, the game starts. The player list on the Overview updates live with minutes played. Pause the Match Timer if there's a long break on the field.
See How do I use the Match Timer? for details on pausing, resetting, and moving the timer forwards or backwards.

Step 4: add goals and assists
You can add goals and assists before, during, or after the match. If you don't know yet who scored, leave it blank and fill it in later.
On the Overview page, use the (+) and (-) buttons to add goals.
Or in Match Control, swipe up and select Goal.
Optionally select the scorer and assist provider, confirm.
Step 5: keep track of substitutions
When you substitute a player, their minutes are paused and the minutes for the player coming on start counting. A substitution icon appears on both players.
See How do I add and delete substitutions? for the full flow, including how to reverse a substitution.
Step 6: add yellow and red cards
Cards appear on the player list on Overview. A second yellow or a red stops the player's minutes counting and removes them from the line-up.
See How do I add and delete yellow and red cards? for the full flow.

How do I share live match updates with followers?
Turn on Live Mode in the Content tab of Match Control. Once it's on, all match events (goals, cards, substitutions) automatically appear on the Match Feed, and your team members and followers get push notifications in real time.

Using the Match Timer while Live Mode is on means every update is tagged with its exact match minute — so the Match Feed reads like a live ticker.
