How do I use the Match Timer?
The Match Timer runs your advanced scorekeeping — once it's started, minutes played per player update live, substitutions track automatically, and period breaks are handled for you.
ℹ️ Available for team members with Scorekeeping rights.
To start the timer, you do two things: save your match setup (once per team) and confirm your starting line-up.
Save your match setup
In Match Control, tap Start timer.
Set your match settings: minutes per period and break setup.
You only set this up once per team. You can adjust it per match if needed.
Confirm your starting line-up
Pick the players who are on the pitch at kick-off — either manually or by using your latest line-up.
Select your available substitutes for the match.
Confirm the starting line-up.
While the timer runs
After you confirm the line-up, the match starts. The player list on the Overview tab live-updates with minutes played.
The timer counts up. Pause it when needed.
Minutes played per player update live in the line-up.
The timer pauses automatically at the period length set in your match settings (e.g. 45 minutes).
When the timer stops, end the period — you'll get a haptic nudge when you open the app.
Start the next period by tapping Play.
End the match by tapping End match/period after the final period.

How do I pause or resume the Match Timer during a match?
Tap the pause control on the Match Timer to stop counting during a long stoppage (injury, floodlight failure, extended break). Tap play to resume from the same minute. Minutes played per player are paused while the timer is paused.
Can I reset the Match Timer if I started it at the wrong time?
Yes. If you started the timer too early, too late, or want a clean slate:
Swipe up and tap the reset button.
Confirm.
⚠️ Resetting the Match Timer undoes all match events and line-up changes made since the timer started. Use reset only if you truly want to start over; otherwise, adjust the timer instead (see below).
Can I move the Match Timer forwards or backwards in time?
Yes. If the timer is ahead or behind the real match clock:
Pause the Match Timer.
Swipe up and tap the clock symbol.
Select the period and match minute you want the timer to continue from.
Tap Confirm.

If I rewind the timer, do my existing match events keep their match minute?
If you move the timer backwards, any events that happened after the new timer minute get re-stamped with that new match minute. Example: you added a goal at minute 10, then rewound the timer to minute 5 — the goal's time becomes minute 5. You can always edit each event's match minute afterwards to correct it.
Moving the timer forwards doesn't change any existing events' match minute.
