How do I create a line-up for a match?
You can create a line-up for any match you've already created.
ℹ️ Available for team members with Scorekeeping rights.
Open the match and go to the Line-up tab. Tap Create line-up. (Alternatively, from the Overview tab, tap Match Control.)
Select your squad — which players are available for this match.
Start from scratch, or reuse a line-up from a previous match.
Assign a player to a position by tapping the player's image, then tapping an empty spot or an existing player's spot. If someone was already on that spot, they move to the subs.
Add substitutes from the row at the bottom.
Tap the share icon to share the line-up on social or with the team.
Can I reuse a line-up from a previous match?
Yes. When you start a new line-up, you're offered the option to reuse a line-up from a previous match instead of building it from scratch. This copies the starting eleven and the substitutes into the new match, so you only need to adjust for who's available this time.
How do I change the formation or the number of players on the pitch?
Tap the field icon in the bar at the bottom of the line-up screen. You can choose between many different formation variations and change the number of players on the pitch.
To tweak a formation after selecting it, long-press a player and drag them to a different position on the pitch.
If I add a player to the line-up, does it change their RSVP?
Yes. Anyone you add to the line-up is automatically treated as Going. If you then change a player's RSVP to Not Going, they're removed from the starting line-up.
ℹ️ Once the Match Timer has been started, you can no longer change RSVP status during the match.
Can I add a player to the line-up who doesn't have a Mingle Sport account yet?
Yes. At the bottom of the line-up screen there's an Add player option for players who aren't on Mingle Sport yet. See How do I add players to my team? for the full flow.
