How do I add a location to a match or training?
When you create a match, training, or team event in the Mingle Sport app, you can set the location — either by searching for a place or entering an address by hand.
ℹ️ Available for team members with Scheduling rights.
Open the Activity tab and tap the + button in the top right.
Choose Create match, Create training, or Create event.
Fill in the event details — title, date, start time, meet-up time, and duration.
Find the Location row. For a training it sits under Where; for a team event under When & where. It's pre-filled with your team's home address, so for home sessions you can leave it as it is.
To change it, tap Location:
Search for your location.
Select it from the results.
If your location isn't found, enter the address by hand.
For a training, you can also add the Pitch and Dressing room (see below).
Save the event.
ℹ️ If your team is linked to a club, the Location is pre-filled with the club's address by default — so you don't need to set it manually for home events.
How do I save a default location for my team?
New matches, trainings, and team events are pre-filled with your team's home address. If your team is linked to a club, that's the club's address.
On Homebase (web), you can set a different default: when you set a location while creating an event, tick Save default location for \<team name\>. From then on, every new match, training, or team event for that team is pre-filled with that location — you can still override it per event.
What if my location isn't in the search results?
You can add the address by hand. In the Location field, type the full address directly instead of selecting from search — this works for pitches, fields, sports halls, or any venue that isn't indexed.
Can I add a pitch or dressing room to a training?
Yes. Training sessions have two extra rows under Where: Pitch and Dressing room. Both are free text of up to 12 characters — for example "Pitch 2" or "Room 4". The pitch field starts with the word "Pitch" so you only need to add the number, but you can type anything you like.
Both show up on the training page under the location, so players know exactly where to go. If you leave them empty, they're not shown. Matches and team events don't have these rows.
Can I change the location of a match or training after creating it?
Yes. Edit the event and update the Location row — the same search and manual-entry options apply. For a training, you can change the pitch and dressing room in the same way. For a recurring training series, you choose whether the change applies to a single event or the whole series before the edit form opens.
