Set custom invites for one event

When you're creating a match, training, or team event, you can override the team defaults and pick exactly who's invited for that event only.

Help article Visual - Team Management: RSVP Settings

What are the default invite settings per event type?

Out of the box, the team defaults look like this:

Event typePlayersGuest PlayersStaffParents

Match

Training

Team Event

Change any of these from Team Settings → RSVP Preferences to match how your team usually works — e.g. toggle guest players on for training.

Can I override the default invites for one specific event?

Yes. When creating a match, training, or team event, pick custom invites for that event only. This doesn't change your team defaults — just that single event.

What happens to people I don't invite to a match or training?

Non-invited team members:

  • For matches — still see the match in their schedule, but can't RSVP.

  • For training and team events — don't see the event in their Schedule at all.

  • Don't receive any RSVP reminders, updates, or deletion notifications.

  • Don't count towards attendance statistics.

  • Can't be added to the line-up.

Parents and child players: if you don't invite parents but their child is invited, parents still see the event so they can RSVP on behalf of their child. They just can't RSVP for themselves, and they still get parent reminder notifications if that setting is enabled.

What happens when I add a new team member — are they invited to existing events?

New team members are automatically added to all future events that use the team defaults, based on their role. They are not added to events that already have custom invites applied — if you want them in those, add them manually.

How is attendance calculated when I use custom invites?

Attendance is calculated only from invited members:

Attending Invited Players ÷ Total Invited Players = Attendance Rate

Non-invited members don't affect attendance stats either way. So if you custom-invite a smaller squad for a cup match, attendance reflects just that squad.
