Roles and Permissions

Overview

By default, team creators (admins) can schedule matches, keep score, and share photos or videos, learn about setting up your team. All other team members can add content to matches.

With Team Boost Level 1, you can customize these permissions for players, staff, and team support (e.g., parents). You can also add multiple admins. This gives coaches and admins more control over who can manage content and organize activities.

To modify default team permissions, your team needs to be boosted to Team Boost Level 1. You can upgrade in the app under Team → Level Button.

Once boosted, administrators can:

  • Set individual permissions for each team member.

  • Track minutes played, substitutions, and cards.

  • Access Homebase: Your coaching data base, offering advanced team insights and management tools.

Coach tip: Give your captain or a parent planning rights to schedule training when you are busy!

Understanding Team Permissions in Mingle Sport

We have 3 permissions categories. Allowing admins to manage who can do what within a team. Admins automatically have all permissions.

Adding Multiple Team Admins

The person who created the team automatically becomes the Team Admin.

Teams upgraded to Level 1 can add multiple admins for easier management.

Update team logo, name, and abbreviation.

If the last Team Admin leaves or their account is deleted, all team members become Admins. Existing admins also have the ability to remove other admins if needed.

How to change permission in 5 simple steps

In the app:

  1. Make sure your team is boosted to premium

  2. Navigate to Team Settings: Team > Settings button

  3. In the Permission Section choose the permission

  4. Select or De-Select Team Members

  5. Save and done

In Homebase:

  1. Make sure your team is boosted to premium

  2. In the Team Section go to the team member who you want to grant permissions

  3. Click the (…) edit button > Edit Permissions

  4. Choose which permissions you want to grant this user.

  5. Save and Done

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have multiple admins?

By default, each team has one admin. (The team creator). Teams that are boosted to premium can add unlimited admins. Once a team is boosted, existing admins can assign admin rights to other team members.

Can players add goals / assists?

Players can add their own goals and assists on the Mingle app during or after the match, as long as they have scorekeeping permissions.

Why does everyone have content rights?

If you don't want the content to be posted, you can turn off content permissions at any time.

Can people with content rights access Match Control (and change the line-up)

No, this requires either scorekeeping or admin rights.
