How do I manage opponents?
Opponents in Mingle Sport are the teams you play against — they show up in the match feed, line-up, and results with a logo, name, and abbreviation. You can add new opponents, edit existing ones, or delete opponents you no longer need, all from Homebase, our desktop web app.
Where do I manage opponents in Mingle Sport?
Opponents are managed on Homebase — there's no opponent-editing screen in the mobile app.
Sign in to homebase.mingle.sport and open your team.
Go to Team > Opponents tab.
From the opponents list you can add a new opponent, edit any existing one, or delete an opponent.
How do I add a new opponent?
From the Opponents tab:
Select Add a new opponent.
Enter the opponent's name and abbreviation, and upload a logo if you have one.
Click Save.
The new opponent is available straight away when you're scheduling a match.
How can I add a logo for my opponent?
Opponents don't have a logo by default — you add one by editing the opponent. From the Opponents tab:
Find the opponent in the list.
Click the three dots next to their name and select Edit.
Upload a logo from your device.
Click Save.
The logo applies to every match involving that opponent — past and future — so the match feed stays consistent.
How do I edit an opponent's name or abbreviation?
Same flow as editing the logo — from the Opponents tab, click the three dots next to the opponent's name and select Edit. On the edit screen you can:
Change the name — the full name shown in match details.
Add or change the abbreviation — the short form used in compact views.
Add or change the logo — upload an image from your device.
Click Save to apply the changes. Edits apply retroactively — every match involving that opponent will show the updated information.
How do I delete an opponent?
From the Opponents tab:
Find the opponent in the list.
Click the three dots next to their name and select Delete.
Confirm the deletion.
Deleting an opponent removes them from your opponents list so they won't appear when you're scheduling new matches. Existing matches against that opponent keep their historical record.
Why is my opponent missing a logo?
If you just added the opponent, no logo is set by default — it's up to you to upload one. Opponents created from an official league feed sometimes come with a logo already attached; if yours doesn't, follow the edit steps above to add one.
