How do I edit a player's profile?
A player profile holds all the data Mingle Sport tracks for a player in your team — name, photo, player number, preferred positions, biomedical data, and contact details. Who can edit a profile depends on the connection to it:
Team admins can edit any profile in the team. See How do I set permissions for my team members? for how admins are assigned.
The player (as the profile owner) can edit their own profile once they've claimed it with a Mingle Sport account. See How do I claim my player profile?.
A parent connected to the profile can edit their child's profile. See How do parent-child relationships work in Mingle Sport?.
To edit a player's profile:
Open the Team section in the app (or sign in to Homebase).
Go to the Members tab and find the team member.
Tap the more button (three dots) next to their name and select Edit team member.
Update any of the editable fields, and tap Save.
What player information can be edited?
For each player in your team, you can edit:
Player name — the name shown in line-ups, stats, and leaderboards.
Player number — the shirt number.
Preferred positions — up to 3 positions.
Player picture — the photo shown on the profile, in match line-ups, and across the team.
Age, gender, foot, weight, height — biomedical info.
Contact info — phone number and email address (available for all team members, not just players).
ℹ️ Biomedical data (age, gender, foot, weight, height) is never shared publicly. It's visible only to team admins and the account owner.
How do I change a player's name?
Changing a player's name follows the same flow as any profile edit:
Open Team > Members and find the player.
Tap the more button (three dots) and select Edit team member.
Update the name and tap Save.
The new name takes effect across line-ups, match stats, leaderboards, and the player's profile card.
How do I add a player photo?
Open Team > Members and find the player.
Tap the more button (three dots) and select Edit team member.
Tap the photo area and pick a photo from your library, take one with the camera, or remove the background of the photo.
Tap Save.
A player picture is unique per team — the same person can have different pictures in different teams. If both the player (as owner) and a team admin change the picture, the most recent change is what's shown, and changes can't be undone.
How do I add contact info for a player?
Contact info — phone number and email — can be added for any team member, whether player, staff, or team support. The steps mirror any other profile edit:
Open Team > Members and find the team member.
Tap the more button (three dots) and select Edit team member.
Tap Contact details and fill in the phone number and email address.
Tap Save.
Can a player edit their own profile?
Yes. A player who has claimed their player profile becomes the owner of it, and owners can edit their own profile — name, photo, player number, positions, and biomedical fields — without needing admin rights. Both the player (as owner) and team admins can edit the same profile; the most recent change is the one that sticks.
