How do I create a team in Mingle Sport?
Anyone can create a team in the Mingle Sport app — whether you're part of an official club or putting together a friends team. Here's how to set it up:
Go to the team section
Tap the blue floating (+) button and then tap Create a team
Select the country where your team plays
*Optional* Select the league your team plays in. If your league isn't listed, you can request it or select 'other league'
*Optional* Search for your club. If your club isn't listed, you can create your own by adding a team name and logo
Give your team a name — for example 'U17-1' — and save the team
Give yourself a role: player, trainer, or supporter
On the Your Team is Created! screen, tap Setup my Team to configure your team straight away, or Skip to go into the app
Note: Mingle Sport doesn't have every league of every country yet. If your league isn't available, the flow skips ahead to the team naming step.
What happens after I create my team?
Right after your team is created, Mingle Sport offers to walk you through Team Setup — a guided flow that covers three things:
Configuration — your team's characteristics, colours, logo, line-up and default match duration.
Preferences — how your team uses Mingle: attendance, reminders, scorekeeping, awards and leaderboards.
Add stuff — your players, your first match and training, and the team invite.
You don't have to do it right away. Tap Skip and you land in the app as normal, with empty states you can fill in yourself. Team Setup stays available from your team page, and every step you complete elsewhere in the app counts as done.
Team Setup is available to team admins only — and the person who creates the team is an admin by default.
Can I create a team if my club or league isn't listed?
Yes. If your league isn't listed, you can request it or choose 'other league'. If your club isn't listed, you can create your own by adding a team name and a logo in step 5 of the team creation flow.
How do I invite players, coaches, and supporters to my team?
Once your team is created, invite your teammates, trainer or coach, and supporters from the team screen.
Tip: you can pre-create players so you only need to send them an invitation — they can claim their own profiles later.
How do I change my team's logo?
You can add or change the team logo in the Mingle Sport app — during Team Setup, or later from Team Settings — as well as on homebase.mingle.sport. Logos look best when uploaded without a background. → How do I add or change my team logo?
