How do I connect Mingle Sport to Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant?

How do I connect Mingle Sport to Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant?
You can connect Mingle Sport to an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT. Once it's connected, you can ask things like "What's our schedule next week?", "Who hasn't responded for Saturday's match yet?" or "Add a training every Tuesday at 18:30 until the winter break", and the assistant works directly with your team in Mingle Sport.
Note: Connecting an AI assistant is currently in beta. It's available to team admins of teams with a Team Boost. See What is a Team Boost?
Every assistant connects to the same address:
Connect in Claude
Open Settings ā Connectors in Claude (on the web or in the desktop app).
Select Add custom connector.
Enter a name, for example "Mingle Sport", and paste `https://mcp.mingle.sport/mcp` as the URL. Leave the other fields empty.
Start a new chat and ask something about your team. Claude asks to connect the first time.
Sign in with your Mingle Sport account and choose what Claude may do: read only, or read and write.
Connect in ChatGPT
Custom connectors in ChatGPT need a paid ChatGPT plan and Developer Mode.
Open Settings ā Apps & Connectors in ChatGPT.
Scroll down to Advanced settings and turn on Developer Mode.
Go back to Apps & Connectors and select Create.
Enter a name, for example "Mingle Sport", paste `https://mcp.mingle.sport/mcp` as the URL and choose OAuth as the authentication.
Select Create, then sign in with your Mingle Sport account and choose read only, or read and write.
Start a new chat and ask something about your team.
The exact menu names in ChatGPT can change. If you can't find them, check OpenAI's help pages for adding a custom connector.
Connect in another AI assistant
Other AI assistants that support custom connectors (sometimes called MCP servers) with sign-in work too. Look for an option like Add connector or Add MCP server, paste `https://mcp.mingle.sport/mcp` and follow the sign-in steps.
What can an AI assistant do with my Mingle Sport team?
An AI assistant connected to Mingle Sport can do much of what you'd normally do in the app as a team admin:
Schedule: read your schedule, and create, change or delete matches, trainings and team events, including recurring ones
Attendance: see who's going, and update RSVPs on behalf of your members
Team members: list members, add new players (a whole roster in one go), update player profiles and link parents
Opponents: find opponents in the club register, or add one that's missing
Matches and stats: read results, match feeds and team and player stats, and enter the final score of a finished match
Team settings: read and change team details, match setup and RSVP settings
Help: answer "how do Iā¦" questions about Mingle Sport from our help articles
Everything the assistant changes shows up in the app and on homebase.mingle.sport straight away, exactly as if you'd done it yourself. That includes the usual invites and notifications for new events.
Who can connect an AI assistant to Mingle Sport?
During the beta, you can connect an AI assistant when you meet both of these conditions:
You're a team admin. The assistant works with the teams where you have admin rights. See How do I set permissions for my team members?
Your team has a Team Boost. The assistant can't read or change teams without one. To boost your team, see How do I assign a Team Boost to my team?
You sign in with your normal Mingle Sport account. Mingle Sport never shares your password with the assistant.
Is it safe to connect Mingle Sport to an AI assistant?
Yes. When you connect, you choose what the assistant may do with your Mingle Sport data:
| Access | What the assistant can do |
|---|---|
Read only | Look at your schedule, attendance, stats, members and matches. It can't change anything. |
Read and write | Also create, change and delete events, opponents and members, enter scores and update RSVPs. |
A few extra safeguards apply:
Most assistants ask for your approval before they change anything. Keep that setting on if you want to check every change.
Before deleting an event, an opponent or a member, Mingle Sport double-checks the details (like the event date or the player's name) and refuses the request if they don't match. Deleted items can't be restored, so always check what the assistant is about to remove.
When the assistant updates someone's RSVP, that member doesn't get a notification, and the answer looks as if they gave it themselves.
To switch between read only and read and write, remove the Mingle Sport connector from your assistant and add it again. To stop using it, simply remove the connector.
Why can't my AI assistant access my team?
The AI assistant can only work with a team when that team has a Team Boost and you're one of its admins. If the team doesn't have a Team Boost, the assistant tells you it can't access the team and explains how to boost it. See What is a Team Boost?
If your team has a Team Boost and you're an admin but it still doesn't work, check that you signed in with the same Mingle Sport account you use in the app.
What if the AI assistant gets something wrong?
AI assistants sometimes misunderstand a request, so check the result in the app after bigger changes. Because this feature is in beta, your feedback really helps. If something goes wrong or a feature you need is missing, tell your assistant: it can send your feedback straight to the Mingle Sport team, along with technical details of what failed. You can also reach us via the chat in the app or at [email protected].
If the assistant stops responding for a moment after many requests in a row, wait a minute and try again. There's a short limit on how many requests it can make per minute.
