How do I add documents and links to a player?

How do I add documents and links to a player?

You can store documents and external links on a player's development page in Mingle Sport — evaluations, medical forms, development plans, or links to video analysis and shared docs. This keeps everything about a player in one place instead of scattered across WhatsApp, email, or external drives.

This feature is currently available on Homebase (web) only, and only Team Admins can add, view, or remove a player's documents and links.

To upload a document:

  1. Sign in to homebase.mingle.sport and open your team.

  2. Open the player's development page.

  3. Click Add document and choose one or more files — or drag them into the drop zone.

  4. The document appears in the list with its file name, type, and upload date.

To add a link:

  1. Sign in to homebase.mingle.sport and open your team.

  2. Open the player's development page.

  3. Click Add URL.

  4. Enter the web address (it must start with `http://` or `https://`) and a display name. Both are required.

  5. The link appears in the list and opens in a new browser tab when clicked.

If a file or link is rejected, you'll see an error explaining what's wrong — usually an unsupported file type, a file that's too large, or a web address in the wrong format.

What file types and sizes can I upload for a player?

On a player's development page in Mingle Sport you can upload PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and plain text files. Each file can be up to 100MB.

Links have no file type or size limit — you just enter a web address and a display name, so you can point to anything online (a Google Doc, a video, a medical portal, and so on).

Who can see a player's documents and links?

When you add a document or link, you choose its visibility:

VisibilityWho it's meant for

Admin only (default)

Team Admins only

Admins + Profile Owners

Team Admins plus the player and their parents

Documents may contain sensitive information, so visibility defaults to Admin only. You set the visibility when you add a resource, and it can't be changed afterwards.

For now, documents and links live on Homebase (web) only. Because players and parents use the Mingle Sport mobile app — where this feature isn't available yet — only Team Admins can actually view a player's documents and links at the moment, even if you choose "Admins + Profile Owners". That setting takes effect once the feature comes to the app.

How do I remove a document or link from a player?

Only Team Admins can remove a player's documents and links, and only on Homebase (web).

  1. Sign in to homebase.mingle.sport and open your team.

  2. Open the player's development page.

  3. Open the options menu () next to the document or link you want to remove.

  4. Click Remove and confirm.

The resource disappears from the list. If you need it back after removing it, contact us via the in-app chat or at [email protected].
