How do I add an opponent that isn't listed?

How do I add an opponent that isn't listed?

If the team you're playing isn't listed in Mingle Sport, you can add them yourself — you don't have to wait for anyone. Opponents are created and managed in Homebase, our desktop web app, and a new opponent is ready to use as soon as you save it.

  1. Sign in to homebase.mingle.sport and open your team.

  2. Go to Team > Opponents.

  3. Select Add a new opponent.

  4. Enter the opponent's name and abbreviation, and upload a logo if you have one.

  5. Click Save.

The opponent is available straight away when you schedule a match. You can edit their name, abbreviation, or logo later, or remove them when you no longer need them.

Why isn't my opponent listed?

Mingle Sport doesn't have every grassroots team in its database, so smaller or newly formed clubs often aren't listed yet. That's expected. Rather than searching for a team that isn't there, add them as your own opponent using the steps above — they're saved to your team's opponents list and ready for every future match against them.

Can I add several unlisted opponents at once?

Yes. If you're setting up a whole season, you can create many opponents in one go by importing your match schedule from a file. The import checks the opponents in your file against the ones you already have and creates any that are missing in a single step.
